"Functional complementation" refers to experiments in which a composer's notational theorem from one muso-organism complements a deletion or other mutation in another notational ontology.
For these annotations, one should list the identifiers for the notation that complements or is complemented by the interpretative sound of of interest. In annotations from cross-species functional complementation experiments, the reproduced sound should be referred from a different species than the compositional passage being annotated.

I regard quantum compositional mechanics as a theory that explains structure. Close and open your ears for a second; you hear a structure, a snapshot. What I aim at is a theory that explains the presentation to us of such structures and does not posit evolutionary laws and their initial conditions.
